Disconnect headphones and Bluetooth audio when checking the phone's built-in speaker. Start at low volume. Buzzing or rattling that repeats across several tones is worth investigating, but listening alone cannot identify its cause.
Record a short phrase in a quiet room at a consistent distance, then replay it at a comfortable level. Check microphone permission and whether a connected headset is providing the input. Compare with the phone's recorder app; a browser may not expose every microphone.
